2012-13 Picks - NFL - Week 2

Game of the Week - Sunday, September 16
BAL @ PHI | Ravens - After having a look at the Ravens new look no-huddle offense last week, I'm convinced they may be seriously competing for a Superbowl this year. Not to mention I'm not so sure Mike Vick survives this whole season -- let alone this game.

Thursday, September 13
CHI @ GB | Bears - Cutty and Marshall seem like they picked up right where they left off in Denver. That along with the vaunted Bears "D" should get the Bears off to a 2-0 start

Sunday, September 16
TB @ NYG | Giants - New season for the Giants to start slow and pick up the pace late--but they should be able to handle Tampa Bay.
OAK @ MIA | Raiders - McFadden should be able to run all over the Dolphins. And well, Tannehill is still a rookie.
HOU @ JAC | Texans - Texans are still ballin'...and the Jags are still the Jags.
CLE @ CIN | Bengals - Dalton and the Bengals impressed me a lot in a loss last week versus Baltimore. They look strong.
KC @ BUF | Chiefs - Fitzpatrick and the Bills were severely disappointing last week. For that reason alone, I'm taking KC.
NO @ CAR | Saints - Breesus won't start this season 0-2.
ARI @ NE | Patriots - Pats are an early favorite for the Superbowl...again.
MIN @ IND | Indianapolis - I liked what I saw out of Luck against the Bears, even with 3 INT's. He looked poised and he still has Reggie Wayne as a security blanket.
WAS @ STL | Redskins - RG3! He's fun to watch. Looking forward to a Skins v. Eagles matchup in Week 11.
DAL @ SEA | Cowboys - Romo is still the man...
NYJ @ PIT | Steelers - I feel like we'll be seeing a lot of Tebow in this game...and the Steelers would like to see that.
TEN @ SD | Chargers - Starting to seem like giving Chris Johnson that contract was a bad idea.
DET @ SF | 49ers - The 49ers are serious with Harbaugh at the helm. Not sure we'll see a repeat performance like last week from Megatron and Stafford though. Should be a good game.

Monday, September 17
DEN @ ATL | Broncos - Peyton Manning is back--and he's only going to get more polished as the season progresses.

The Sporacle versus "The Experts" in Week 2

So it seems that Cam Newton might be for real--maybe the Ravens aren't for real and the Bears O-line...well let's just say I'll be praying for Jay Cutler for Sunday's game against the Packers. Week 2 was fun.

Ebbs and flows with the picks this week. 10-6 picking games in Week 2 isn't terrible, but we're hoping for more flows than ebbs next week.

Especially since the experts on average kicked my a** this week.

**Did anyone else find the Giants cheating on Monday Night Football hilarious?

Thanks for reading.

2011-12 Picks - NFL - Week 2

Great kick off to the NFL season with Week 1's games. I'm feelin' like a repeat is inevitable. Cutler in the Superdome. Vick returning to ATL. Wondering to see how Tony Romo will "surprise" us. Looking forward to it all. Let's see those picks in the comments below.

Game of the Week - Sunday, September 18

**SD @ NE | New England - Last week, "Mad Chad" Ochocinco had one catch for 14 yards. I think he heard Teddy Bruschi's criticism and should bounce back with a better (not stellar) performance. But that New England defense is still suspect--Rivers and Jackson should have a big day, but NE's offense will pull away late.

Thanks again for all your Game of the Week votes.

Sun, Sep 18
SEA @ PIT | Pittsburgh - Last week's beatdown should've been a reminder that the Superbowl is over and the new season started. Steelers bounce back.
BAL @ TEN | Baltimore - Didn't see much from CJ last week--honestly don't expect much more this week with Ray Ray on the other side of the ball.
JAC @ NYJ | New York - Plaxico will have another "break out" game ('Cause he's out of prison now) annnd, the Jags are still whack last time I checked.
ARI @ WAS | Arizona - Fitzgerald > Washington's secondary.
OAK @ BUF | Buffalo - I'm on the Fitzpatrick bandwagon for at least one more week.
TB @ MIN | Minnesota - Donovan can't really be THAT awful--can he?
CHI @ NO | Chicago - Call me a Bears fan, 'cause I am. #TeamJayCutler all day.
GB @ CAR | Green Bay - I'd really love for Cam to get this upset, but it's not gonna happen.
CLE @ IND | Indy - If they have any chance of making the playoffs, they'll win this game. For the record, I'm least confident about this pick than any.
KC @ DET | Detroit - Matty Stafford stays healthy and this team is semi-dangerous. Not yet elite.
DAL @ SF | Dallas - Two late special teams scores by Tedd Ginn Jr. don't disguise the fact that the 49ers were in a late game battle with the Seahawks...
CIN @ DEN | Denver - I don't even know. Coin Flip. (Please give Tebow a chance--I know the implications, but please don't throw another season away, Denver)
HOU @ MIA | Miami - Dolphins looked pretty good against the Pats last week. Houston didn't prove much to me beating up on the Peyton-less Colts.
PHI @ ATL | Atlanta - Probably my "upset" of the week. Michael Turner ran all over the Bears with just 10 carries for 100+ yards. Ball control will be the game plan for ATL.

Mon, Sep 19
STL @ NYG | New York - All the uncertainty about the health of the Rams has me picking the home team.

Thanks for stopping by.
